Chimneytots at Marston Moreteyne VC School is a local community provision with the aim of creating an affordable, flexible and high quality setting for children aged between 2 and 4 years.

The two settings are located on the  School sites at both Church End and Forest End.

We offer full and part time places for children from the term they turn 3 years old. All requests for session are processed in accordance with our Admissions Policy.

Session Times

Our hours are 9am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday – term times only.

We offer two sessions a day:

     9am. to 12noon (3 hours)

12:15pm to 3:15pm. (3 hours)

Lunch is incorporated as part of the 12:15pm to 3:15pm session. Children can bring a packed lunch or can choose to pay for a hot lunch from the school kitchen.

Funded Sessions

All children are eligible for 15 hours funding the term after their third birthday. Therefore, if your child turns 3 on or before:

  • 31st December they will receive funding from 1st January
  • 31st March they will receive funding from 1st April
  • 31st August they will receive funding from 1st September

Since September 2017 some families are eligible for 30 hours free childcare. Chimneytots offers the Universal 15 funded hours per week. Working with other nurseries and pre-schools we can enable those families who are eligible to take up the 30 hours free childcare across more than one provider. All additional Chimneytots hours that exceed the Universal 15 hours per week will be charged.

Fees are invoiced on a monthly basis.

If your child starts the term in which they turn 3, their sessions will be chargeable and you will receive an invoice for all the sessions they are due to attend that term.
